Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Animatic Artist to join our creative team. The Animatic Artist will play a crucial role in the pre-production process by creating animatics that guide the final animation production. This position requires a strong ability to visualize and sequence animated scenes, ensuring that the director's vision is effectively translated into a dynamic visual storyboard.
Responsibilities:
- Create and assemble animatics from storyboards, adding appropriate timing, motion, and sound to outline scenes.
- Work closely with directors, storyboard artists, and editors to refine animatics that align with the creative vision and narrative structure.
- Adjust pacing, camera angles, and transitions based on feedback from the creative team to ensure the animatic enhances the storytelling.
- Collaborate with sound designers to integrate the necessary audio elements that complement the visual flow.
- Maintain a coherent style and consistency across all animatics, adhering to the project's timelines and quality standards.
- Utilize software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop to construct animatics that serve as a blueprint for production teams.
- Participate in meetings to discuss and implement creative decisions and improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Animatic Artist, Storyboard Artist, or in a similar role within the animation or film industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work and animatics.
- Proficient in animation and video editing software, especially Adobe After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop.
- Excellent understanding of cinematic storytelling, timing, and editing principles.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Degree in Animation, Film, Graphic Design, or a related field is beneficial.
