Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a focus on pipeline development to join our technical team. This role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining software pipelines that are critical to the efficient flow of our production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with specific experience in building tools and systems that enhance the productivity of animation and CGI workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software pipelines and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of animation and CGI production.
- Work closely with technical directors, animators, and other stakeholders to identify needs and deliver solutions that support artistic and production goals.
- Integrate and customize existing software tools and systems (such as Maya, Nuke, Unreal Engine) into the studio’s pipeline.
- Develop clear documentation for software tools and systems to aid in user training and future maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the pipeline, providing timely support to the production team.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating them into the pipeline to keep the studio at the cutting edge of animation technology.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on developing software pipelines in the animation, film, or gaming industries.
- Strong programming skills in languages relevant to pipeline development, such as Python, C++, or similar.
- Familiarity with animation and CGI software like Maya, Nuke, Unreal Engine, and others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
