Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Editor to join our team. This role involves editing various types of video and film footage, crafting coherent and emotionally resonant narratives from raw content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in film editing, a keen eye for detail, and a profound understanding of pacing and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Edit film and video footage to create polished and cohesive final products for various projects, including short films and commercial ads.
- Collaborate with directors and producers to understand and execute the creative vision for each project.
- Utilize editing software such as Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve to cut footage, assemble edits, and implement special effects and transitions.
- Manage the post-production workflow, ensuring that all edits meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide input on the visual and narrative structure of projects, suggesting or making adjustments to enhance the overall impact.
- Maintain organization of all video assets and editing files for efficient workflow and archival purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in film editing to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of edits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Video/Film Editor with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with remote teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
- High attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Video Production, or a related field is preferred.
